Government Senior Secondary School, Camp was established in 1948 and since then it is committed to provide an apposite environment for the holistic development of its students. It is located in the urban area of Jagadhri block. It is situated in the heart of the city and in close proximity with the railway station and the bus stand. The school is managed by the Department of Education, Haryana. With a view to bring qualitative improvement in education, the school has recently been given the status of Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School (GMSSSS) by the Government of Haryana. Like other Government Model Sanskriti schools, GMSSSS Camp is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It follows a pattern of twelve years of schooling. Starting with the primary years of schooling, it continues till senior secondary level based on the 10+2 CBSE pattern of instruction. The school offers Medical, Non-Medical, Arts and Commerce streams at Senior Secondary level. The school is not only co-educational but also offers education in English medium. INFRASTRUCTURE The school campus extends over an area of 7200sq mts of land. It houses a total of 35 classrooms for instructional purposes. It has a spacious playground, excellent sports facilities, a library, a Computer lab, a Physics lab, a Chemistry lab and a Biology lab. Additionally students are encouraged to make full use of services provided under NCC and NSS units. As per the norms of the Government of Haryana, the school follows a mid-day meal scheme and provides healthy and nutritious food to the children up to grade 8.
